Please read these terms carefully before booking an appointment. By booking a session you agree to these terms.
Effective Date: June 2026Everyday Tech Help STL LLC ("we," "us," or "Derek") provides consumer-facing technology assistance services to individuals in the St. Louis metropolitan area and virtually nationwide. Services include but are not limited to:
All services are performed by Derek Hudson, sole member and operator of Everyday Tech Help STL LLC.
We are a consumer technology help service. The following are explicitly outside our scope of services:
If your issue falls outside our scope, we will tell you honestly and do our best to point you toward the right resource. You will never be charged beyond the agreed session fee for a referral.
We do not guarantee that every technology issue can be resolved within a single session or at all. Some issues may be caused by hardware failure, outdated equipment, or factors outside our control. In such cases, the session fee remains due for time and expertise provided.
We understand that plans change. Our cancellation policy is straightforward:
To cancel or reschedule, contact us at (314) 840-3444 or derek@everydaytechhelpstl.com at least 24 hours before your appointment.
A no-show is defined as a client who is unreachable or unavailable at the time of a confirmed in-home appointment without prior notice.
Our time has value. If something comes up, please contact us as soon as possible — we are always willing to work with clients who communicate with us in advance.
The client is solely responsible for backing up all data — including but not limited to photos, documents, contacts, and application data — prior to any in-home or virtual session.
Everyday Tech Help STL LLC strongly recommends that all clients perform a complete backup of their device(s) before any appointment. We may remind clients of this at booking, but the responsibility to do so remains entirely with the client.
By booking an appointment, you acknowledge that you have backed up your data or that you accept full responsibility for any data that may be lost during or after the session.
Everyday Tech Help STL LLC shall not be liable for any data loss that occurs during or following a session, except in cases of gross negligence directly attributable to our actions. We take great care with your devices, but technology is unpredictable — backing up your data is always the right thing to do before any service is performed.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Missouri law, Everyday Tech Help STL LLC and Derek Hudson shall not be liable for:
Our total liability in any matter arising from services provided shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific session in question.
We will always be honest with you. If we make a mistake, we will own it. This limitation of liability is not intended to excuse negligence — it is intended to set reasonable expectations about technology work.
To ensure the best possible experience, clients agree to:
Virtual sessions are conducted via screen sharing or guided phone/video call. The following applies to all virtual sessions:
Payment is collected in full at the time of booking through our secure online booking system. We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe, our payment processor.
Everyday Tech Help STL LLC reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
